The cuvée Belle Amie de Paloumey embodies the very essence of our Haut-Médoc terroirs, paying tribute to the wood pigeon, a symbol of Château Paloumey since the 19th century.
Belle Amie de Paloumey is a Haut-Médoc cuvée, meticulously crafted by our winemaker Pierre Cazeneuve since his arrival at the estate. Its limited production is reserved for our business partners who ensure its exclusive distribution in France and abroad.
The name of our cuvée, Belle Amie de Paloumey, was an obvious choice, as the wood pigeon is a source of inspiration at Château Paloumey. Every year, after the harvest, this migratory bird flies over Bordeaux and the Médoc before heading to the warm lands of the South. Originating from our Haut-Médoc vineyards, Belle Amie is a beautiful illustration of the delicacy of the gravel terroirs so typical of our appellation. A committed cuvée like all the wines of Paloumey, it has been certified organic since the 2021 vintage and benefits from traditional aging in barrels for one year to gain finesse and complexity.
Belle Amie de Paloumey Belle Amie de Paloumey charms with its aromas of ripe fruit, its round and balanced palate, and its velvety tannins. Accessible in its youth, this cuvée is regularly awarded at major wine competitions and in the Hachette Wine Guide of France. At Paloumey, our team particularly enjoys Belle Amie during a friendly barbecue, fueled by our own vine shoots.
In motion by nature, Château Paloumey produces authentic Médoc wines in perfect harmony with their terroir and the environment.
